Deuel County Community Foundation pheasant hunt. On November 4, twelve hunters hit the windy fields at Dakota Ridge in support of the Community Foundation.
Jim and Linda Dailey, owners of the Dakota Ridge hunting preserve had the idea to donate 100 pheasants to the Deuel County Community Foundation. This in turn allowed the foundation to invite hunters to Dakota Ridge and raise funds for the foundation to be used towards our fundraising goal. Hunters paid for their hunts at Dakota Ridge and all proceeds went to the foundation.
After the hunt, drinks and hors d'oeuvres donated by foundation board members were served to the hunters and their guests in the Dakota Ridge Lodge. The social hour was followed by a delicious supper featuring rib eye steaks donated by the Coteau Cattlemen.
If you would like to be included in next year’s DCCF pheasant hunt, please contact one of the board members and they will make sure you are invited next year.
Thank you to all of the following individuals and businesses that gave proceeds to DCCF for their hunt or sponsored other hunters:
